Upon my arrival and waiting for ervice. The employees made sure to take care of everyone in the order in which they came. They took care of exactly what I needed which was an oil change. The digital feedback form gave me input on what was completed and when I should take care of on my next service.

I’m not fond of the new procedure for oil changes. When making an appointment it’s hard to get the time that works for me. Usually it’s days out and it’s hard to adjust my schedule so I get there early and wait in line (usually first or second) but now with the new procedure I can’t tell where in line I’m at. The lube service writer was helpful. The old procedure would have vehicles lined up almost to McHenry so maybe this is the reason for the new procedure although they’re still backed up to McHenry since all vehicles, service and lube are in the same two lanes instead of six.

We had the privilege working with Norberto. He was incredibly helpful and skilled with what vehicles were on the lot. He also went above and beyond to find us something right away. Overall super professional, and a nice work atmosphere with other employees.

The man that helped me, I think his name is Bradley (I could be wrong I don’t know where the paperwork went), was super helpful! He was kind, explaining everything that was being done to my truck in actual terms but also broke it down for in terms I would understand without making me feel dumb for asking for clarification. Super great experience.

Quick honest service

I checked the American Chevrolet web-site and saw that tax and dealer incentives were available for a selection of Equinox EVs, so I went to the dealership that morning. I was introduced to Hayden, who was very knowlegable about the Equinox EVs. We worked through the various vehicles that were still available, what options they were built with and which incentives were available for each. I planned to buy a "Base" model, to stay within my budget restraints. However, Hayden was able to confirm some additional discounts that I was not aware of (Costco, for example). As a result, for only a modest increase in purchase price, I was able to purchase a nicely optioned LT2 with the black roof. My friends and family (including my 10 yo grandson) think the vehicle is as visually stunning as I do. After the sale, Hayden has been VERY helpful in assisting me with how to charge at commercial chargers and at home (so far only Level 1... electrician will be here next week). American Chevrolet was the 3rd Chevrolet dealership that I had visited in the last month or two, but they were the only one that had any significant inventory to choose from and who assisted me to understand the available incentives to make an informed purchase decision. Thank-you!

I checked my vehicle/Truck in (appointment ) for an Oil Change & Tire Rotation. I had a couple of cups of coffee while waiting in the Lounge area. Waited I waited approximately 1-1/2 hours. I was advised my vehicle/truck was ready with only minor issues (Air Filter & Belts) for next Oil Change!! Staff was very friendly & courteous!!

The service advisor and overall service was excellent. When I got home, I found grease by the door handle, driver side. When I wiped inside my car, I noticed some more grease inside the car. Last year was the same issue. All mechanics should not touch the car unless they have new gloves.

The experience went well until I received the amount financed a day later. The price I agreed to with the salesperson does not match the amount financed. I am getting charged 3500-4000 more. I don’t know where it when wrong but my total that I gave consent to was 83,400 with tax licenses and everything. The total out the door got changed without my consent to 87400ish. This was not disclosed and not the price that I agreed upon otherwise I wouldn’t have bought the car and waited.

I had an appointment at 8:30 and it wasn’t on the paperwork then I had to wait almost an hour while the walk ins were helped even though I had an appointment and had the confirmation to prove it. The service rep said he would call me when my truck was ready for pick up, he didn’t. I needed my truck so I returned to the service dept at 5 to check the status and he just never called.

I went to get my oil changed. I thought there was an express oil change, which is what is on the sign. One hour forty five minutes later, for an oil change. I won’t go back for that.

I made and appointment for 8:30AM on July 12th. My car was not taken in until 9:30. A gentleman that worked for you asked me how I was doing. I told him I was not happy and explained. He stated you were short handed today. He said he would make it right. I told him I already was getting a military discount. Service is the only thing that sets you apart from other places. I can get a oil change at any dealership for the same price. He did make it right and I am a pretty tough customer. I appreciate the discount but it would be great to keep on a timely schedule with appointments. I do understand that it is difficult but this is what people remember. The gentleman was very understanding and listened to what I was saying. Maybe you could give some incentives to the hourly workers in the oil change shop to motivate them. Thanks Tim Martens

We had a great experience again at this dealership. Our sales guy Norberto was helpful and took care of us from beginning to end. He went above and beyond to help us.

When I purchased the Restall ceramic coat. I specifically asked for a paint correction before signing the contract. Meaning I told them I wanted all swirls and minor scratches taken out before treated. They did remove the minor scratches but the swirls are still there. The communication was very clear. I told Just when I checked the car in and when I left I told him the car did look better and the minor scratches were gone but I was not happy that the car wasn’t properly prepared. I will say that Justin was a very very helpful service coordinator, I was going to be late for work and he moved things along very quickly for me. Very impressed with this you man! Also thank you for the Lyft transportation it was on time and good drivers. I would like to discuss correcting this problem for this service we paid for. Thank you Phyllis Govia 209-380-4222

It didn’t start so well their third-party advertisers advertised an oil change at $69 even for my truck, but I knew that was wrong , Justin the manager for the oil change department did make it right for me. I knew of course I wasn’t getting a $69 oil change but made it very satisfactory for me.

I was warmly greeted by BB when I first arrived. He answered my questions and listened. He was very helpful in making a decision on which Equinox to buy. No heavy pressure or high pressure to purchase. I was not looking forward to purchasing a car--it had been 20 years since I stepped into a dealership. BB made it a good experience. He has a great sense of humor and we got along well.

I have been going to American Chevrolet for a few years now and they are always customer friendly and accommodating. Quick, friendly service.

I arrived at 7:45am for an 8:00 appointment for an oil change. Three cars in front of me in the appointment line. About 6 cars in the non-appointment line. At 8:20am, an employee gets in my truck and moves it to the side to allow a vehicle that arrived AFTER me to go in front of me. Not sure if they had an earlier appointment or not, but if they did and were that late, employees should've just left their vehicle after mine. Meanwhile, two vehicles that arrived after me for the non-appointment line had already been serviced and left. As well as others in the non-appointment line. At 8:38am, my truck gets pulled into the back lot out of sight. At 9:35am, my truck is pulled out of the main service garage and parked behind the fence. I walked in to ask about my truck and at 9:42am, I received the keys to my truck. So, apparently making an appointment for an oil change is the slowest way to get my oil changed. I've had issues here twice before with my oil filter leaking oil in my driveway after a service. Having to go back to have it serviced again/fixed. Both times I was told that they had a bad batch of filters. Come on. I'm not stupid. If Chevy had a bad batch of filters, I would think that they would've returned the filters and gotten better ones. There was a couple there with two vehicles in the appointment line in front of me. They were still there after I finally left. Again, not sure what service they were getting performed but it is the Quick Lube Service Center so it's not like they were there for an engine rebuild. If someone makes an appointment, it should be honored and done somewhat efficiently. I don't expect an IndyCar speed pit stop. But an hour and 42 minutes for an oil change is pretty long. I probably could've taken all four of my cars to Jiffy Lube and been in and out faster with the same level of service. And yes, I kept track of the times because I knew there would be an issue after seeing my truck moved out of line for no reason. I don't expect, nor want, a free oil change offered. I want American Chevy to provide better service. Like they used to do. If someone has an appointment, they should be taken care of in a timely fashion. Go to the doctor's office with an appointment, you get called before a walk-in (unless of course it's an emergency). Thank you and I hope that the service improves. No excuses anymore. Fix it.

I took my 2011 Equinox in for diagnosis and repair. Running rough Check engine light on. I was told that the work could be done if I could leave the vehicle overnight

I had one of the best dealership experiences ever thanks to Gene in the sales department at American Chevrolet. I called just before closing on a Friday night to ask if a specific vehicle was still in stock. Gene not only confirmed it was, but he also took the time to listen to my situation. Since I live two hours away, I explained that I wanted an out-the-door price before making the drive. While most salespeople would push for an in-person visit, Gene was courteous, professional, and understanding. He went through the right pre-screening questions, and after confirming my interest, he honored my request and provided a fair price that I was very happy with. The next day, Gene promised to have the car detailed and ready for a quick process, knowing we were coming from far away. True to his word, when we arrived the car was parked right out front, cleaned, and ready to go. Gene had everything prepared, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. From start to finish, Gene delivered excellent customer service. I feel very fortunate that he picked up my call that Friday evening. My experience with customer service was ok, my only bag experience is with my truck. Now that my truck engine broke and had to be replaced I don’t trust my truck anymore, I’m afraid that my truck gonna brake down once again .

The quick loop guys did a great job on my truck done early called me when it was done, told me when I can pick it up. The only problem I have with American Chevrolet. Now is the cost to do an oil change and nothing else is a 100. And $75. With the previous owners, they did tire. Rotation, and it was a full service for a $130. So I won't be going back there.

I accidentally put DEF fluid in my Chevy Silverado and Nader and the team did exactly what they said they would. As soon as I picked it up, I attached the trailer and a rebuilt PIANO for a client and drove to Montana and delivered it. The truck was flawless. I really appreciate the job that was done without incident. I will try not to put DEF fluid in the tank again laugh out loud. Actually my wife said she won’t let me.😜💯

Just a routine oil change. My appointment started on time and actually finished earlier than scheduled which is rare. The oil changes are nice because they are thorough but in the past some have taken hours. This was on time and quick, and I will definitely be coming back.

Had an 8 o’clock appointment Carr didn’t get on till nine. I didn’t get out till 930. That’s not acceptable.

The service department was quickly able to get my car checked in so that I could get back to work before 8am which was great. They also already had the free NACs charger adapter in stock for me which was kind of a surprise. Everything went well.

A year ago my oil change was $125, this year it was $175. Last year the labor charge was $48 , this year it was $98. The oil and filter costs were the same price. Unless you gave your techs a 100% raise, you are guilty of price gouging and I will not be returning to you dealership.

It took almost a month to replace the motor in my 2021 Silverado I was told that the mechanic working on it was being pulled off to do other jobs. Also, I don’t know why they just didn’t stay on it get it done not to mention the 3.0 Duramax blew up at 118,000 miles this truck was serviced every time on time not to mention the transmission went out at 114,000 miles. That was another $7000 in general motors picked up 9000 of the $15,500 motor replacement not happy.

After having a recall done last month and the 3 weeks later my info system went down which is the radio , gps and all settings functions. So first i waited 2 hours and couldn’t fix it , second time left my truck there all day to get the the news it’s no longer working. Third trip was the installing of a refurbished information system. Never heard of after 5 years the radio going out . After watching YouTube videos I see it’s a common problem. So three days ago I spent money that was for Christmas bad timing and no breaks from dealership shoot didn’t set my clock , take seat protection off. Merry Christmas to Chevrolet

Our experience was great. Our sales Norberto Perez made the process easy and painless. We walked through quite a bit of your inventory and even test drove a different vehicle. The vehicle that caught our eye wasn’t even in the system. It had just been delivered. With many trips out to the lot to get VIN numbers, etc Norberto somehow made it all happen. When we left, we drove away in everything we wanted.

But we did end up purchasing a 2025 Vehicle.

Went in for first oil change, the staff was very polite didn't do what was not needed and fixed a very minor problem with truck that I had easy pessy.

The service team is always professional, efficient, and respectful of my time. They get me in and out quickly without cutting corners, and I feel confident knowing my vehicle is being taken care of properly.

Hayden was both courteous and professional from the moment I arrived at the dealership to the time I left. He listened to my needs and what I could do instead of forcing what he/dealership could do like many other dealerships do. He even followed up with me a couple days later to make sure everything was going good, if I needed any help with any of the many options that came with the truck, and/or if he could help with anything else or questions. I’ll definitely be visiting this dealership again in a few years when it’s time to replace our other vehicle.

I brought my car in clean, When I got it back a week later it was very dirty and one of my door panels was left on the passenger seat

The engine light came on-on the dash so I took it to the dealership to have my Chevrolet Tahoe serviced. They had to replace both anti knock sensors. I was disappointed ($1,665) because I had to replace my engine less than 2 years ago and I had to replace many other things under the hood including radiator, belts, hoses, etc but evidently the knock sensors were not replaced. The service writer, Paul, treated me well and I got a ride home and back again to the dealership. Much appreciated.

Justin Ordonez was super helpful explaining what was done and what was recommended when I got an oil chance and safety point inspection. Wait was only 45 min with appointment. I thought that was more than reasonable. Expected to be over an hour.

I took in my truck because the brakes are squealing. I was told the tech couldn’t detect it even though they test drove it twice. When I picked up my truck I pulled out of the lot and could hear them squealing at the first stop light I stopped at. What’s even more frustrating is that when the truck was handed over to me the radio was on and the station had been changed. The fact that the station was changed was not a big deal but if the tech was supposed to be listening to my brakes then why was the radio on? Maybe turn the radio off and listen for the problem. That was a huge waste of my time and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Mr. Bradley Hall was very accommodating, on the day of our appointment he explained the code and how long it’s gonna take. Within the next 3hrs our car was ready and Brad made sure the Warranty covers what needs fixing. Thank you Brad.

What’s the point of sending out promotional coupons through email or mail. You guys never take them anyways. Yes I know it says to present it at time of appointment but even then you guys say no. The guy at drop off literally said “no we can’t take the coupon because the paperwork isn’t put together yet.” Can’t present it at checkout because the papers are already drawn up. It’s only $15 but it’s the principle of it. Take care of your customers.
